The 2012 Olympic Games Begin On July 27th

The 2012 Olympics is only 10 days away, but much of the attention has been focused on security.  The head of security company G45, which holds the Olympic security contract, admitted that he regrets ever taking control of the event, saying it had become “humiliating shambles.”  Thousands of extra police and military personal have had to be deployed to cover the Games.

Various reports have said the chance of a serious terrorist attack taking place is high.  With athletes, officials, and fans arriving, concerns are growing.  Yesterday was the busiest ever day at the London Heathrow Airport.  Questions are being raised as to whether or not the UK can deal with the traffic and responsibility.
