A gunman killed one and injured another three in a shotgun shooting attack at the Seattle Pacific University, a small Christian college. A male student in his 20s was killed while one of those injured, a woman also in her 20s, is believed to be in critical condition. The other two injured students are in stable condition.
The gunman was stopped by a brave student hall monitor who sprayed pepper spray in his eyes. Other students than tackled him and restrained him until police arrived. In the chaos, police initially thought there was another gunman, tragically delaying medical attention for those who were wounded for up to an hour.
