17 year-old Axelle Despiegelaere’s good looks went viral after she was photographed cheering on her team at the World Cup. She was soon offered a lucrative modeling contract with L’Oreal. However, the contract has now been absurdly canceled after a photo emerged of the teen with a rifle and the body of a Gemsbok antelope.
L’Oreal has been keen to promote itself as sensitive to animal rights due to controversies in its past, and was quick to cancel the contract. The caption under the photo she uploaded said, “hunting is not a matter of life or death. It is much more important than that.” L’Oreal weren’t brave enough to actually mention the photo in their reasoning for canceling the contract.
