15 year-old Cassidy Stay lost both of her parents and all four of her siblings after her ex-uncle, Ronald Haskell, went on a horrific shooting spree only three days ago. Stay was taken to hospital as she was grazed by a bullet in the head but was released today as her condition had rapidly improved. She attended a memorial event at a local elementary school with her grandfather.
Clearly still in shock, the girl was able to give a speech at the event, which was attended by over 400 people. She said, “I’ll see my family again one day”and thanking everyone who had prayed for her family. She has been hailed as a hero after she called 911 to alert police that Haskell was heading towards her grandparents house after she survived being shot.
