Raudhatul Jannah was 4 years old when the devastating Boxing Day tsunami, which killed about 300,000 people, hit her home in West Aceh, Indonesia. Along with her 7 year-old brother, she was swept away while holding onto a floating piece of wood. Her parents desperately searched for their children for months before finally giving up hope.
But a decade later, she has incredibly been reunited with her parents. Her mother’s brother noticed a girl who looked like Radhatul with a fisherman. After the family began talking to the fisherman, they learned he had rescued the girl from the tsunami and raised her, naming her Wenni.
