Van Der Sloot Moved to Remote Prison After Threatening to Kill Security Guard

van der Sloot Reportedly Threatened to Kill a Security Guard

Joran van der Sloot has been moved to a remote prison in the Andes mountains, near Peru’s border with Bolivia, after threatening to kill a security guard.  van der Sloot was in a prison north of Lima, but will now stay in a prison in tiny Challapalca. His threat came only a month after he had married his pregnant girlfriend in a prison wedding.

van der Sloot was charged with the murder of 21 year-old Stephany Flores in 2010.  He was the prime suspect in the disappearance of American Natalee Holloway, the American teen who vanished while on a graduation trip in Aruba.  Despite evidence heavily linking him to the crime, he was never charged.
