A very emotional British Prime Minister David Cameron issued a final plea to voters before Thursday’s Scottish independence referendum vote. Appearing teary-eyed throughout the speech, the PM begged voters “please don’t break this family apart” and to save the UK from “a painful divorce.”
The referendum is almost impossible to call, as it has tightened considerably in recent weeks. The latest polling shows 52% for “YES” and 48% for “NO”. However, 72% of Scots think PM Cameron has handled the entire referendum campaign poorly, while 59% think Alex Salmond, the First Minister of Scotland, has handled it well.
