27 year-old Eddie Ray Routh has been found guilty of shooting and killing US Navy SEAL Chris Kyle and his friend Chad Littlefield two years ago. The jury, ten women and two men, needed less tan two hours to reach a unanimous decision, finding Routh guilty of the crime, but not guilty by insanity. He will serve life in prison without chance of parole.
Kyle and Littlefield had taken Routh to a shooting range when Routh, who was suffering from PTSD after serving in Iraq and in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake, became “riled up” and shot and killed both men. Judy Littlefield said after the verdict that “we’ve waited two years for God to get justice for us on behalf of our son.”
