Second Ice Cream Company Recalls Products Amid Listeria Panic

Jeni’s is Based Out of Cleveland, Ohio

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream has recalled all of its products, becoming the second company to do so, after listeria was found in a sample of the ice cream.  Earlier this week, Blue Bell voluntarily recalled all of its products.  Blue Bell, the third largest ice cream company in the US, was linked to ten cases of listeria in four states, including three deaths.

Blue Bell’s chief executive Paul Kruse said in a statement, “We’re committed to doing the 100% right thing, and the best way to do that is to take all of our products off the market until we can be sure they’re safe.” The company’s ice cream is sold in 23 states.
