The Six Officers Charged in Freddie Gray’s Death
Six Baltimore police officers were arrested in connection with Freddie Gray’s death, with the charges ranging from misconduct in office to second-degree murder. The bails ranged from $250,000 to $350,000, with all six being paid for. Gray died on April 19th, after his spine was severed a week earlier in police custody.
The police union Fraternal Order of Police slammed the charges as an “egregious rush to judgement” and that they had “never seen such a hurried rush to file criminal charges.” Caesar Goodson is the officer facing second-degree murder charges, and his family argued that his charges were a political move.
