Boston Bomber Tsarnaev Given Death Sentence

A Court Sketch Showing Tsarnaev Being Sentenced

Dhzokar Tsarnaev, the man behind the Boston Bombing, was found guilty on 17 separate charges all eligible for the death sentence.  The jury of seven women and five men ruled in favor of the death penalty for 6 of those charges.  Tsarnaev was emotionless when sentenced to death.

Sydney Corcoran, one of the survivors of the bombing, called the sentencing “an eye for an eye”, saying that Tsarnaev “took away his own right to live.”  Off-duty firefighter Michael Ward, who helped victims after the bombing said, “he wanted to go to hell, now he is going there earlier.”
