Houston, the Fourth-Largest City in the US, Saw Severe Flooding

The massive flooding in Texas and Oklahoma that has been described as “apocalyptic” has now killed 14 people.  Three died in Houston alone after a record-breaking four inches of rain in only a few hours caused havoc.  Snakes that have been displaced by the flooding have been spotted swimming into houses and cars.

13 people are still missing, with 8 coming from a vacation house in Wimberley, Texas where two families were staying.  The 5 adults and 3 children are assumed to be dead by authorities.  The heavy rains show no sign of stopping, with forecasters predicting more rain in the rain over the next week.
