Perry is Currently Polling at 10th of the 16 Republicans to Announce Thus Far
Former Texas Governor Rick Perry has announced he is running for president for the second time, joining the already crowded Republican field. Perry made the announcement in an airport hanger in a Dallas suburb, joined by his wife Anita, Taya Kyle, the widow of “American Sniper” Chris Kyle, and Marcus Luttrell, the retired Navy SEAL famous for “Lone Survivor”. “We are a resilient country” Perry told the crowd, “we even made it through Jimmy Carter. We will make it through the Obama years.”
Perry will be hoping the nation has forgotten his infamous slip in the 2012 primary which effectively killed his campaign. He failed to remember the third agency that was a part of his policy to cut federal spending, eventually saying, “The third one. I can’t. Sorry. Oops.”
