Eight Injured in Shooting at South Carolina Church


The Shooting Occurred Late This Evening

Eight people were left injured after a shooting at a the Emmanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina.  The shooter was described as a clean-shaven white 21 year-old male.  The police were seen taking a man into custody after the shooting, but the Charleston Police Department tweeted that the shooter is still at large.

Emanuel AME Church is the oldest AME church in the south, and one of the largest.  The church is located in downtown Charleston.  It is still unknown whether the shooting was racially motivated, and the conditions of the victims are currently unknown as well.
