A Crowd Gathers to Help the Victim on the Beach
Incredibly, there has been yet another shark attack off of North Carolina, the seventh in the past two weeks. The latest attack was a 68 year-old man who was in waist deep water off a beach on Ocracoke Island. He was bitten in ribcage, lower legs, hip, and hands as he tried to fight the shark off.
He was treated on the beach and airlifted to a nearby hospital. The man was reportedly standing in front of the lifeguard tower when the attack happened, helping to make it clearly visible. All of the seven attacks that have occurred in recent weeks happened in water that was about waist deep.
