James Holmes is being held alone in a prison cell at the Colorado State Penitentiary until officials find a suitable location for him.  Holmes has been sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for his 2012 shooting attack at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, which left 12 people dead.

Officials have said that Holmes isn’t in maximum security but he is being watched more closely than other inmates as well as having fewer privileges.  Holmes was sentenced to 12 life terms as well as an additional 3,318 years in prison for his horrific attack.  The additional years were for attempted murder as well as rigging his apartment with explosives.
