Memphis Police Officer Terence Oldridge was shot as he was leaving for work from his home in Cordova, Tennessee. He made it back to his home and was rushed to Regional Medical Center in critical condition, but he died from his wounds not long after.
Memphis Police Director Toney Armstrong said the details were still “very very sketchy” at the moment. A suspect is in custody, but it is unknown whether the person has been charged. Oldridge leaves behind a fiance who was four months pregnant.
