Justin Trudeau Sworn in as Canadian Prime Minister

At 43 Years Old, Trudeau is the Second-Youngest PM in Canadian History

Liberal Justin Trudeau was officially sworn in as Canada’s Prime Minister today, with Steven Harper stepping down shortly before the ceremony.  The Liberal Party swept to an overwhelming victory in the elections last month.  Trudeau has vowed to return Canada to its Liberal roots after years of Conservatism under Steve Harper.

Trudeau’s father Pierre was elected Prime Minister in 1968 under a wave of support known as ‘Trudeaumania”.  Apart from a brief interruption, he was Prime Minister until 1984 and remains one of Canada’s most well known and polarizing leaders.
