France Strikes Back at ISIS With “Massive” Air Strikes

A French Fighter Jet Prepares to Launch from Its Base in UAE

Two days after devastating attacks throughout Paris killed 128 civilians, France has struck back with a series of “massive” air strikes against ISIS.  The defense ministry said in a statement, “the raid, including 10 fighter jets, was launched simultaneously from the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Twenty bombs were dropped.”

The bombings targeted the ISIS-held city of Raqqa, Syria.  The operation was carried out in coordination with US forces and hit a command center, a recruitment center, a munitions depot, and a training camp.  No civilians were believed to have been killed by the air strikes.
