Sanders Apologizes to Hillary at Debate for Data Breach

Bernie Sanders Was Asked if He Was Sorry For Benefiting from the Security Breach

When asked at the Democratic Debate if he was sorry for several of his staffers taking advantage of a security breach to access private voter information owned by the Clinton campaign, Bernie Sanders said he was.  “Yes.  I apologize.  Not only do I apologize to Secretary Clinton, I want to apologize to my supporters.  This is not the type of campaign that we run, and if I find anyone else involved in this, they will be fired.”

When Hillary Clinton was asked if she accepted Sanders’ apology, she merely said, “I very much appreciate that comment Bernie.”  Sanders appeared to help Clinton even more by comparing “Datagate” to the scandal over he emails, reminding voters of how he publicly dismissed the scandal at the first Democratic debate.
