Natalie Cole (1950-2016)

Natalie Cole, daughter of Nat King Cole and a Grammy award-winning R&B singer, has died aged 65 due to congestive heart failure.  Her son Robert was by her side as she passed away, and her last words to her two twin sisters, Casey and Timolin, were “I love you all.”

Cole released 21 albums and won 9 Grammy awards during her extremely successful career.  Her biggest hits were “This Will Be” and “Unforgettable”, a duet with her late father Nat King Cole, which won the 1992 Grammy for Song of the Year.  The duet was made possible thanks to editing and remixing Nat King Cole’s original version, from 1951.
